Dick Williams, a radio, television and newspaper journalist, has owned The Dunwoody Crier since 1996.  His column appeared in The Atlanta Journal from 1981 to 1999 and The Atlanta Business Chronicle from 1999 to 2008.

For 28 years, Williams has been moderator of “The Georgia Gang” seen now on WAGA-TV in Atlanta. 

Williams was born in California and reared in Kansas.  He received a degree in history from Georgetown University and a master’s in journalism from Columbia University.  In 2006 The Crier began a three-year campaign of reporting, analysis and advocacy that helped lead to the referendum creating the city of Dunwoody.

The  Crier, along with the Dunwoody Homeowners’ Association, sponsors the July 4 parade, and Light Up Dunwoody, the community’s major holiday event.
